GENERAL DIVISION

This Supplement provides treatment in the General offices of Swiss hospitals outside the Canton of residence. Free choice of doctor, however, is not available. This Supplement can be useful if, for example, the hospital of the nearby Canton is located closer than the hospital of the Canton residence.

SEMI-PRIVATE OFFICE

The Supplement "recipient's Department" guarantees the insured person accommodation in a double room and a free choice of doctors in the hospital. In public hospitals, the treatment of "semi-private" patients is usually performed by a senior physician.

PRIVATE HOSPITAL

Additional insurance "private branch" guarantees the insured person accommodation in a single room, improved nutrition and free choice of doctors in the hospital. In public hospitals, the treatment of "private" patients is usually performed by the chief physician.

FREE CHOICE OF THE HOSPITAL

This model allows you to select a Department (General, semi-private or private) immediately before entering the hospital. Depending on your choice, however, You have to pay a part of the additional costs at a rate agreed in advance with the insurance company, if you choose a semi-private or private option. Accommodation in the common room is free.
